i love this part b/c its not like he wasn’t worthy of calling mjolnir (cause how else would he have gotten out of the glass cage?) but he walked to his hammer because he didnt FEEL worthy because he just fell for loki’s old trick like when he was a brash youngin which resulted in coulson’s death. he doesnt feel worthy of his hammer in this moment because he was acting like the old thor. 

I didn’t think about it that way but that’s totally valid!

Not to mention, Thor knows that it’s different this time.  By picking up Mjolnir, he is resigning himself to battle against Loki whom he still considers his brother despite witnessing him murder Coulson in cold-blood.  

Thor hesitates.

Something so unlike Thor that it demolishes the feels like what.
